Hispanic heritage month essay contest

We are all immigrants to this country at one time in history. (and many of the earliest European settlers were running from the law, or the corruptness of their government!)The richness of American life is enhanced by the Hispanic population not impoverished. The "illegals" from whatever country are not bankrupting our government. We are. We are responsible by not demanding accountability of our government, for not fighting greed, for allowing corporations to have better treatment than people, for not sacrificing anything except our young people when we go to war and for always wanting to find the blame elsewhere. I for one am always looking for resources that will encourage students in my well-educated, financially successful school district to respect and appreciate others worldviews. Thank you for posting these resources.
